Responsibilities

This QA Manager position will be responsible for defining, improving Quality Assurance practices, procedures and guidelines to ensure quality of all deliverables to meet with the company’s standards & objectives. This role will be also looking at defining product (project) test policies, strategies and requirements based on specifications and requirements. Oversee development and execution of QA test plans, test cases and conducting any QA’s training, testing framework and communicating testing progress to project management board.

You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company’s values and people capabilities:

  • Establish, maintain, and monitor all quality assurance standards, procedures, tools and practices across the projects, teams
  • Develop and maintain relative metrics related to goals / objectives which are pre-defined
  • Manage and maintain the testing portfolio including forecasting, planning, scheduling and allocating test resources against base on the demand
  • Ensure the quality of the test deliverables by following best testing principles and disciplines, and actively coaching and mentoring of team members in best testing practices.
  • Conduct any training / sharing on QA practices as necessary by project teams
  • Define cadence, standards and best practices for tracking defects, resolution, and overall testing progress across project teams
  • Establish effective test plans, test strategies by working with business owners and technical engineers based on business requirements.
  • Provide leadership & management to test engineers in the company
  • Identification of opportunities to improve way of working in QA space for delivery including leveraging automation tools to improve efficiency.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

To be successful, you will need to possess these essential skills / experiences:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Manager / Team Lead position on any medium to large projects using Agile methodologies
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with test automation & continuous integration
  • Minimum 2 years’ industry experience – Banking & Wealth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology required.
  • ISTQB Foundation / ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to drive change and inspire others to adopt a QA mindset & practices
  • Strong understanding of modern QA Tools, methodologies, technologies
  • Understanding of UI automation, service automation and performance testing from desktop, web to mobile applications e.g. Selenium / WebDriver, Appium
  • Experience working with continuous integration e.g. Hudson, Jenkins, Teamcity, GoCD
  • Exceptional Test Process knowledge and experience
  • Experience and detailed technical understanding of project and system development
  • Excellent estimating and productivity measurement skills and techniques
  • Experience in quality management with commitment to innovation and improvement, championing change, minimizing costs, and maximizing resources
  • Ability to recognize test management risks and develop effective and timely solutions before they become issues

Desirable if you have experiences with:

  • Continuous Integration / deployment
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager
  • Financing / Banking domain knowledge
